Every summer has a moment when the sky lights up. When the air smells like smoke and salt and possibility. When strangers stand shoulder to shoulder, watching something beautiful explode in the dark.
We want to see how you remember it.
Summer Fireworks is Oki Social’s July drawing contest — a chance to capture that moment in whatever medium makes sense to you. Paint it. Sketch it. Collage it. Draw the light. Draw the crowd. Draw the moment before it happens or the feeling after it’s gone. This is your canvas.
The Prize
The winner receives art supplies — real materials, the kind you actually use.
Every person who submits also receives a reward when they come pick up their artwork after voting closes. Because showing up and putting your work in front of people deserves recognition.
How to Enter
What to Make
- Any medium. Paint, pencil, charcoal, mixed media — whatever works.
- Summer Fireworks theme. Your interpretation. Literal or abstract.
- Square or vertical 4×5 ratio, ideally. This is how your piece will look best when it’s posted for community voting.
- Physical submission only. If you created it digitally, print it on paper and bring us the paper.
What NOT to Include
- No logos
- No URLs
- No “follow me on Instagram” or self-promotional content
- No AI-generated artwork. Using AI for brainstorming or getting unstuck = fine. Submitting something the machine made as your entry = disqualified, immediately, no debate.
Where to Submit
Oki Social, Kadena Exchange, 1st floor — directly in front of Bath and Body Works
Staff will log your entry and keep everything safe until voting closes. No questions asked. No judgment.
When to Submit
Deadline: Sunday, July 20
Extended to July 21, Tuesday
Submissions close at end of day July 20. Not July 21. July 20.
The Timeline
