Eisa Night 2025 Is Coming! First Event: June 15

  • Events

If you’ve never had your rib cage rattled by a hundred synchronized taiko drums under the Okinawan night sky… well, you’re missing out. Good news though—Eisa Night 2025 is happening, and it’s bringing the noise (literally) across three summer nights in Okinawa!

This is your yearly chance to catch Okinawa City’s youth Eisa groups doing what they do best: slamming those drums, dancing like their sandals are on fire, and proudly repping their neighborhoods. These performances are normally reserved for Obon season, but thanks to Okinawa City’s declaration as the “City of Eisa” (yes, that’s a real thing they did in 2007), you get to catch the magic early—and in public parks, no less.

Let’s break it down so you know when to go, where to go, and how much cash (if any) you need to bring.
