Ginowan City Youth Eisa Festival 2025 – October 4 & 5

  • Events

The sound of drums, the rhythm of dancing, and the joy of community—yes, it’s time for the 29th Ginowan City Youth Eisa Festival! This annual event is bringing two nights of powerful performances, traditional culture, and even fireworks to Ginowan Seaside Park.

Where and When

📅 October 4 (Sat) & October 5 (Sun), 2025
⏰ 17:00–21:00
📍 Ginowan Seaside Park Multipurpose Square (in front of the Convention Center), Ginowan City

Parking is available (about 350 spaces), but it’ll be packed. Save yourself the headache and hop on public transport if you can.

What’s Happening

This isn’t just one youth group doing their thing—it’s a massive lineup featuring:

  • 12 youth associations from Ginowan City
  • Local children’s groups and women’s associations
  • Guest performers from Okinawa City and Ginoza Village

Each group brings its own style—different costumes, rhythms, and choreography. Think of it like an Okinawan dance battle, but with way more drums and way fewer TikTok trends.

Highlights

🎶 Eisa Performances – Back-to-back shows both days, each group with its own flavor.
💃 Kachāshī Dance – The grand participatory dance where everyone gets in on the fun.
🎆 Fireworks Finale – On the last night, fireworks light up the autumn sky while drums echo across Ginowan.
