Get ready for two days of fun, food, fireworks, and full-on Okinawan energy! The 25th Nishihara Festival is back at Higashizaki Park this October, lighting up the weekend with Eisa, music, dance, and a charity raffle that might just make you luckier than you deserve.
🎶 What’s Happening
This festival celebrates the heartbeat of Nishihara — its traditions, talent, and that little extra “let’s party” spirit. Expect Eisa drummers, Ryukyuan dancers, creative taiko performances, and local stars giving it their all.
🥁 October 25 (Sat)
The day kicks off with the Nishihara High School Marching Band, proving once again that high school kids have more stamina than adults. Then comes the Dance Festival, Kariyushi Taiko, and finally a live concert by the one and only Kariyushi 58! You’ll dance, you’ll sweat, you’ll question your life choices — and then boom, fireworks light up the night sky at 8:35 p.m.
💃 October 26 (Sun)
Things get fancy with the “King Shoen & Ryukyu Picture Scroll” stage show, followed by the Hatagashira Parade & Kachāshī Dance, where flags fly, drums roar, and someone’s auntie will definitely start dancing. Don’t miss the charity raffle—you might win something cool or at least feel good pretending it was for charity.
