Love people? Love Okinawa? Can count change and crack a smile at the same time? We want YOU.
Oki Social is looking for a part-time Sales Associate to join our crew at the Kadena Exchange. If you’ve got good vibes, decent English, and a knack for helping people find the perfect gift—read on.

Who We Are

Oki Social is a fun little company with a big mission: to turn Okinawa’s culture into art, gifts, and souvenirs people actually want. We create original designs, collaborate with local artists, and help other creators share their work with the world. Think of us as a traveling circus of creativity—with a cash register.

Requirements

  • You’re a Japanese national or permanent resident of Japan who is citizen of other SOFA-aligned countries. We cannot sponsor work visa.
  • Base access is a plus, but not a deal-breaker
  • You can hold a conversation in English without using Google Translate (too much)
  • You’re friendly, helpful, and not allergic to smiling
  • You’re cool with working weekends and shifts—we do mornings (9:45–2:30) and afternoons (2:00–7:15). You may work in morning, afternoon, or all day shifts.
  • You’re at least 18 years old, and act like it (most of the time)
  • Bonus points if you like memes and label makers

Responsibilities

  • Open and close the register and handle payments.
  • Keep the store neat, clean, and looking good.
  • Greet customers politely and help them with anything they need.
  • Talk about our products and help customers find something they’ll love.
  • Restock shelves and let the Store Manager know if something’s running low.
  • Pass along customer requests or suggestions to the Store Manager.
  • Follow store rules to make sure everything runs smoothly and customers leave happy.
  • Work independently and stay on top of tasks even when it’s quiet.

Workload & schedule

  • Starting $9 / hour (plus sales bonus after three months)
  • 20 – 25 hours per week (could increase in the future)
